TU MÚSICA, TU VOZ, TU VOTO

In the lead-up to a critical national election, Sankofa.org partnered with the Latino Community Foundation and The Young Turks to launch Tu Música, Tu Voz, Tu Voto—one of the largest nonpartisan voter engagement events focused on mobilizing Latinx youth in the United States.

The initiative was created to encourage civic participation, increase voter awareness, and empower young people to make their voices heard at the ballot box. By combining music, culture, entertainment, and community engagement, the event reached audiences through trusted cultural leaders and influential artists.

The program featured performances and appearances from acclaimed musicians, actors, activists, and public figures including Rosario Dawson, Carlos Santana, Amara La Negra, Frankie Negrón, and many others. Comedians Aida Rodriguez and Gadiel Del Orbe hosted the event, helping create an engaging and accessible platform for civic education and voter participation.

Through culture-driven organizing and nonpartisan voter outreach, Tu Música, Tu Voz, Tu Voto demonstrated the power of artists and storytellers to strengthen democracy and inspire collective action.
