Drug Policy Alliance
The Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) is the nation's leading organization promoting drug policies that are grounded in science, compassion, health and human rights. Our supporters are individuals who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good. Together we advance policies that reduce the harms of both drug use and drug prohibition, and seek solutions that promote safety while upholding the sovereignty of individuals over their own minds and bodies. We work to ensure that our nation’s drug policies no longer arrest, incarcerate, disenfranchise and otherwise harm millions – particularly young people and people of color who are disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.

Justice League NYC
Justice League NYC is an initiative of The Gathering for Justice. Founded by Carmen Perez and Marvin Bing in December 2013, Justice League NYC is a task force of juvenile and criminal justice experts, advocates, activists, educators, artists and formerly incarcerated individuals, who work together to develop strategies and support policies that will lead to significant criminal justice reforms for NY City and State. Justice League NYC's first project together was "Growing Up Locked Down" (GULD) - a 3 Day Juvenile Justice Conference at The New School in September 2014 which featured over 125 participants and had more than 600 attendees. More recently, Justice League NYC has been one of the leaders of the NYC protest movement that began in response to the non-indictment in the case of the death of Eric Garner.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund (LDF) is the country’s first and foremost civil and human rights law firm. Founded in 1940 under the leadership of Thurgood Marshall, who subsequently became the first African-American U.S. Supreme Court Justice, LDF was launched at a time when the nation’s aspirations for equality and due process of law were stifled by widespread state-sponsored racial inequality. From that era to the present, LDF’s mission has always been transformative: to achieve racial justice, equality, and an inclusive society.

LIFE Camp’s mission is to create a model for reducing violence that will provide stakeholders with the necessary skills and resources to effectively implement positive change within their own communities. To create connections and build partnerships between public and private sectors to respond collectively, collaboratively and holistically to the issue of youth violence, as we create leaders, develop teens and adults into peer leaders, to avoid becoming perpetrators or victims of violence and at same time Promote the value of LIFE teaching the community to value their own lives as well as each others.

The Men’s Story Project (MSP) is a replicable storytelling and community dialogue project that brings critical exploration of social ideas about masculinity into public forums around the world – via men’s less-often-heard voices and stories. Million Hoodies Movement for Justice is a Black and Brown-led racial justice network that builds next generation leaders to end mass criminalization and gun violence. We are a mass organization of human rights leaders confronting anti-black racism and systemic violence through grassroots organizing, advocacy, and education.

The Organization for Black Struggle was founded in 1980 by activists, students, union organizers and other community members in order to fill a vacuum left by the assaults on the Black Power Movement. The Actors' Gang
Founded in 1981 by a group of artists, The Actors’ Gang—under the leadership of Tim Robbins, Founder and Artistic Director—has received international acclaim for presenting over 150 plays in Los Angeles, which have subsequently toured over 41 US states and five continents. In 2000, the company launched its free Education and Outreach Program, and in 2006 launched the Prison Project.

The Brotherhood/Sister Sol
Founded in 1995, The Brotherhood/Sister Sol (Bro/Sis) provides comprehensive, holistic and long-term support services to youth who range in age from eight to twenty-two. Bro/Sis offers wrap around evidence-based programming. The organization focuses on issues such as leadership development and educational achievement, sexual responsibility, sexism and misogyny, political education and social justice, Pan-African and Latino history, and global awareness.

The Dream Unfinished
The Dream Unfinished is an activist orchestra. Our mission is to create a platform for classical musicians to show solidarity with NYC-based civil rights and community organizations. Beginning in 2015 with our inaugural season, which commemorated the one-year anniversary of Eric Garner's death, The Dream Unfinished is planning its 2016 #SingHerName Series, with its headline event falling on the one-year anniversary of Sandra Bland's passing.

The New Press
The New Press publishes books that promote and enrich public discussion and understanding of the issues vital to our democracy and to a more equitable world. These books are made possible by the enthusiasm of our readers; the support of a committed group of donors, large and small; the collaboration of our many partners in the independent media and the not-for-profit sector; booksellers, who often hand-sell New Press books; librarians; and above all by our authors. Underlying The Press's editorial program are three aims: to broaden the audience for serious intellectual work, especially by reaching out to audiences intellectually red-lined by commercial publishers; to bring out the work of traditionally underrepresented voices; and to address the problems of a society in transition, highlighting attempts at reform and innovation in a wide range of fields.

The Rosenberg Fund
The Rosenberg Fund for Children makes grants to help kids in the U.S. whose activist parents have been attacked because they’re struggling to combat racism; preserve civil liberties; wage peace; safeguard the environment; and organize on behalf of prisoners, workers, members of the LGBTQ community, and others whose human rights are under threat. The RFC also helps activist youth who’ve been attacked because of their own organizing for progressive change.

The Young Peoples Project
YPP uses Math Literacy Work to develop the abilities of elementary through high school students to succeed in school and in life, and in doing so involves them in efforts to eliminate institutional obstacles to their success.

Rehabilitation Through The Arts
Rehabilitation Through The Arts (RTA) is a world leader in arts-in-corrections, starting at Sing Sing in 1996 and currently operating an extensive arts program in five NYS prisons. Its transformative work uses the arts to build critical life skills that support prisoners’ emotional, social and cognitive growth. RTA members perform for the prison population, community guests and families of participants; workshops range from Shakespeare and scene study to hip hop and slam poetry. With hundreds of its participants released over the years, RTA now operates a program outside the walls to support its alumni, whose recidivism rate is less than 5%.

The National Civil Rights Museum
The National Civil Rights Museum located at the Lorraine Motel, the assassination site of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., chronicles key episodes of the American Civil Rights Movement, examines today’s global civil and human rights issues, provokes thoughtful debate and serves as a catalyst for positive social change.
