Usher "Chains" | Film the Future ft. Nas & Bibi Bourelly | Sankofa.org
Usher's new song, "Chains," speaks to the discrimination and police violence facing African Americans and many other communities. Usher is one of the best-selling artists in American music history, with over 10 million Twitter followers and tens of millions of fans around the globe. And while he has a long history of philanthropy and social service, this will be one of his first forays into linking his music directly to social justice action.
Usher’s team reached out to us at Sankofa.org for guidance and support. We then solicited the families of victims and organizations working on the front lines of the movement to participate with the campaign. We are also working to widen the reach of "Chains."
